650 PM Forged Wedge

* True billet forging — a mainstay of the Snake Eyes wedge line for years — has long been considered the best method for constructing tour-quality wedges. Today, however, Snake Eyes has discovered a new forging process that much improves the final product.

* Snake Eyes 650 PM Forged wedges are forged from billets of carbon steel that are formed from powdered metal (PM). This special blend of steel is 6.5 percent less dense than normal carbon steel due to its higher aluminum content, allowing for added thickness in the lower half of the wedge design. The PM carbon steel used in the 650W series wedges also features a higher copper content allowing tighter compaction of the material, more shock absorption, even softer feel and custom loft/lie adjustments of up to 3 degrees.

* Other low-density steels have been introduced in recent years, but they have typically been cast and much more brittle.
